Roots are good. Speaking as someone who doesn't have many (or perhaps has too many), I can relate to the hesitation to leave (I ended up staying for one more year in the town I did undergrad in, and used that time to get enough closure to go to grad school everywhere.)

ReplyDeleteSo you are staying in Portland then, correct?
Ha, I wrote "everywhere", which is technically not true, but it currently sure feels like it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I waffled on this decision for months, but finally made up my mind in April to move to Portland. :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're right on about getting closure before it feels right to leave somewhere.
